Appeal after theft from cash point

We are appealing for information after a woman stole money following a transaction at an ATM machine in Burton-on-Trent.

The victim, an older man, had been at the machine on Station Street at around 9.45am on Friday 24 April and had thought he had cancelled a cash withdrawal. As he moved away from the machine, it suddenly dispensed of the cash.

An unknown woman then came up and reportedly took the cash from the machine.

We have carried out inquiries and are releasing an image of a woman we would like to speak to in connection with the theft.
